Ingredients (for 2 servings):
• 2 ripe avocados (about 12 oz total, pitted and peeled)
• 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
• 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk (adjust for desired consistency)
• 2-4 tablespoons maple syrup (to taste)
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
• Pinch of salt
Instructions:
1. Blend Ingredients:
◦ In a food processor or blender, combine the ripe avocados, cocoa powder, almond
milk, maple syrup, vanilla extract (if using), and salt.
2. Blend Until Smooth:
◦ Blend until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy. Stop to scrape down
the sides as needed. If the mousse is too thick, add more almond milk, a
tablespoon at a time, until you reach the desired consistency.
3. Taste and Adjust:
◦ Taste the mousse and adjust the sweetness by adding more maple syrup if needed.
4. Chill:
◦ Transfer the mousse to serving bowls or an airtight container. Chill in the
refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to set.
5. Serve:
◦ Enjoy the mousse cold. You can top it with whipped coconut cream, berries, or
nuts if desired.
